How is my baklava shipped?
Every baklava order leaves our kitchen in Gaziantep on the day it's made and travels in a protective tin, cushioned with protective paper. Most US orders arrive 2–5 business days after dispatch, and you'll receive a FedEx tracking number by email as soon as it ships. Shipping is calculated from the total weight of your order and shown before you pay.

Does it come with cream filling?
From October 15 through the cooler months, we ship it with a kaymak (clotted cream) filling. In warmer months cream doesn't stay fresh in transit, so we ship the pistachio-filled pastry only.
How long does it stay fresh?
Without cream filling, it's at its best within 5 days of baking, transit included, or 10–15 days in the fridge, counted from the day you refrigerate it. Cream-filled pieces keep for a shorter time: please refrigerate them as soon as they arrive, don't leave them out at room temperature for long, and enjoy them soon. Once opened, enjoy within 2–3 days.
How should I store it?
Keep the box closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally at 64–68°F (18–20°C), or refrigerate it in an airtight container to keep it longer. If it arrives with cream filling, refrigerate it right away. Before serving, let refrigerated pieces sit at room temperature for 30–60 minutes. Please don't microwave it.

Will I pay customs duties?
No. We pay the US import duties, and FedEx handles customs clearance on our behalf, so there is nothing to pay at your door.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Our Fresh Arrival Promise: if your baklava arrives damaged, leaking or not in the condition it should be, email a photo to customerservice@kocakbaklava.com within 48 hours of delivery and we'll ship a replacement free of charge.
